Scott Parker - Teacher
I was born in San Diego, California. When I was six-years-old, our family moved to a small town in southern Missouri. After graduating from high school there, I attended the University of Missouri where I met my future wife, Diana, who is also a teacher. (Our daughter is a teacher, too. She teaches English at Chisholm Trail Middle School in Olathe, Kansas.)
After receiving my degree, I began my professional teaching career in 1987. My wife and I joined the faculty at Unified School District 281 in Hill City, Kansas, in 1990. In 2006 I received my Master of Science degree in instructional technology from Fort Hays State University.
At the end of the 2019-2020 academic year, I became a KPERS retired public school teacher.
In July, 2020, I began my current position as an English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) virtual tutor with Cambly. Cambly is headquartered in San Francisco, California.
